REBALANCE is an ​integrated approach of psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral change & meditation techniques developed by Corinne Voermans. She's an experienced organizational & behavioral psychologist.
One of the most difficult realities of life to deal with is that CHANGE is the only constant. Seasons change, people come and go, all that lives dies. We know this reality and yet sometimes something happens in the present or something that happened a long time ago catches up with us and then all of a sudden you loose your balance. Sometimes it seems like your world has been taken away from you, like the ground underneath your feet is swept away.

Psychotherapy will help you:
  • release pain, frustation and anger
  • stay calm and breathe more efficiently
  • become more compassionate, loving and joyful 
  • feel strong, grounded and positive again
REBALANCE uses cognitive behavioral therapy and psychoanalysis to deal with traumatic life events. Cognitive behavioral therapy is based on the idea that our thoughts cause our feelings and behaviors. The benefit of this fact is that we can change the way we feel, think and act even if the situation does not change. 
The basic tenets of psychoanalysis include the following:
  1. besides the inherited constitution of personality, a person's development is determined by events in early childhood;
  2. human attitude, mannerism, experience, and thought is largely influenced by irrational drives;
  3. irrational drives are unconscious; 
  4. attempts to bring these drives into awareness meet  psychological resistance in the form of defense mechanims;
  5. conflicts between conscious and unconscious, or repressed, material can materialise in the form of mental or emotional disturbances, for example: neurosis, neurotic traits, anxiety, depression, etc.;
  6. the liberation from the effects of the unconscious material is achieved through bringing this material into the conscious mind (via e.g. skilled guidance, i.e. therapeutic intervention).
The term also refers to a method of analyzing childhood development.
