Regular Classes
Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a complete beginner, there is a class for you at Happy Buddha Aruba. From Yin Yoga and more meditative yoga classes like Deep Stretch to more Yang Yoga and physically demanding yoga classes like Power Yoga. The studio is home to many different traditions but our foundation is rooted in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. We believe yoga involves discovering what is best suited to you, so we invite you to explore all of our rich offerings.
Our regular classes (R) are 75 minutes. All levels are welcome.
Description of classes
(Hot) Deep Stretch (75 min)
This is an excellent class to de-stress with longer held yoga postures (calming, quieting poses), designed to help you unwind from your working day/week. It will feel like you just had a 75 min deep tissue massage because this class targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, tendons and joints and stimulate organ health. The postures must be held for 2 – 5 minutes. A common mistake is that this may seem boring, passive, or soft, but that's not true. Experience it yourself!
Hot Hatha (Bikram Yoga - 75 min)
Our signature Hot Hatha class takes a classical approach according to the sequence as designed by Bikram Choudhury (26 postures including 2 breathing exercises). The postures are designed to increase mobility in the spine, hips, quadriceps and hamstrings. It's 100% body workout. Suited for all levels. The class room is heated up to 36-38 degrees Celsius (95-99 degrees Fahrenheit) for a detoxifying sweat. For more info: www.bikramyoga.com/about/26-postures/
Power Yoga by fredbusch.com/ (75 min)
Power Yoga is a vinyasa based yoga class. Vinyasa being a principle which means synchronized movement. Its based on the idea that the breath is the guide to the practice. At the studio power yoga is taught as designed by our master trainer Fred Busch. His classes are multi-dimensional and offer a lot of benefits on many levels.
Corepower (75 min)
Join us for this vinyasa based yoga class. Classical Pilates exercises and other core strengthening exercises are added which results in a powerful fusion yoga class. Appropriate for all levels.
Yin-Yasa (75 min)
Perfect mix, the best of both worlds. Meditation and longer held positions (Yin Yoga) for the first part of the class. It's all about softening and surrendering. Second part of the class we move through an all level power yoga practice. We top it off with a delicious Savasana. You'll love it!
