Class Description

Whether you are a seasoned practitioner or a complete beginner, there is a class for you at Happy Buddha Aruba. The studio is home to many different traditions but our foundation is rooted in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga, Yin Yoga and the Bikram Yoga Method. We believe yoga involves discovering what is best suited to you, so we invite you to explore all of our rich offerings.

OUR MOST POPULAR CLASSES

Deep Stretch - Most Destressing Class (Livestream and In-Person at the studio)

This is an excellent class to de-stress with longer held yoga postures (calming, quieting poses), designed to help you unwind from your working day/week. It will feel like you just had a deep tissue massage because this class targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments, tendons and joints plus its stimulates organ health. The postures will be held for 60 sec - 2 minutes. It's one of our most popular classes. Experience it yourself!

Hatha - Bikram Inspired Yoga (livestream and In-person at the studio)
Our Hatha Yoga classes take an inspired approach to the classical sequence as designed by Bikram Choudhury (26 postures including 2 breathing exercises). The postures are designed to increase mobility in the spine, hips, quadriceps and hamstrings. It's 100% workout and work-in. 

Yogilates - Adore your Core (Not on the schedule right now)
This class mobilizes and stabilizes your core muscles which gives you a better alignment and releases back pain. Taught in a mixed level way, everyone can join. Pilates exercises as developed by Joseph Pilates, mixed with yoga postures and stretches will make this class is an excellent 'add-on' to deepen your regular yoga practice. In just a couple classes you'll feel a difference in strength and flexibility. You'll be more toned around the waistline, legs and buttocks.


Pure Yin - 20 is Plenty (Livestream)
Yin Yoga is a slower paced style of yoga with a maximum of 20 poses (asanas) that are held for longer periods of time. Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to connective tissues – tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. Yin is a more meditative approach to Yoga. All levels welcome.


Yin Yang - Mix & Match (Livestream and In-person at the studio)
The best of both worlds. Meditation and longer held positions (Yin Yoga) for the first part of the class. It's all about softening and surrendering. Second part of the class we'll move through an all level power yoga practice. You'll love it!

Vinyasa - Go with the Flow (Livestream and In-person at the studio)
Vinyasa, or "synchronized movement" is a flowing yoga class because of the smooth way that the poses run together. Vinyasa or Power Yoga are considered one of the most popular contemporary Western styles of yoga. The class has a similar structure like an Ashtanga Yoga but with less emphasis on strict format and the traditional spiritual aspect.
