Our Foundation is in Ashtanga Yoga. This is a dynamic yoga practice which synchronizes breath and movement to produce an internal heat designed to purify the body. Ashtanga Yoga, with its many transitions, is great for building core strength and toning the body. Prepare to sweat as you briskly move through a set sequence. Ashtanga Yoga was founded by K. Pattabhi Jois, Mysore India.
Traditionally mantras are chanted at the beginning and end of every Ashtanga Yoga practice. In more Western versions of Ashtanga Yoga and in our studio we also teach Vinyasa Yoga which is less strict in format and where the mantras are kept out.
Sun Salutations A & B form the foundation of Ashtanga Yoga. Here you will establish the calm rhythm of breathing (Ujjayi), direction of Energy (Bandhas) and concentration (Dristhi). Hence, the powerful flow of a moving meditation is born. The fundamental positions (Asanas) tune the physical and energetic body to balance (Alignment). The finishing sequence guides the practitioner in to an energetic culmination. The breathing calms down, muscle contractions become more subtle and concentration turns inward.

June 2020: 50 Hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Immersion

E3Yoga Leadership Training stands for 'Explore, Experience & Evolve'. Founder Happy Buddha Aruba, Corinne Voermans will be conducting an 50 hour Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga Immersion for students and yoga teachers that gives a deeper understanding of the Ashtanga yoga tradition as originally designed by Patthabi Jois and the philosophy behind it. This immersion will prepare you to successfully lead a Basic Beginners class (30 positions). Included is a manual (theory) but the immersion is 99% practical. Make sure you're physically in good shape because it will be an intense journey! Upon completion you'll receive an official E3Yoga Leadership Certificate signed by 1000+ hour certified Master Trainer Corinne Voermans. The immersion is made up of 40 contact hours and 10 self-study hours. Theory exam is partially multiple choice and written. Practical exam of appr 10 min for each student. Early Bird Fee: $ 395 (Pay before May 2020).
